Lawn Mowing Foreman

The following outlines our open position for a lawn mowing foreman.

Type of Work

  • Mowing/ String Trimming/ Blowing of Commercial and Residential Properties
  • Spring & Fall Lawn Clean-ups
  • General Lawn Maintenance (weed pulling, pruning, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Ability to work with or without power equipment
  • Ability to read and follow special instructions; must be able to work in cold, hot & wet weather


  • ½ ton to 1-ton full-sized pickup trucks
  • Single and tandem axle trailers
  • Stand-on Riding Mowers with bagger units
  • Walk-Behind Push Mowers with bagger units
  • String Trimmers/ Weed-eaters
  • Hand-Held Blowers
  • Any tools needed for general lawn maintenance (rakes, tarps, shovels, etc.)


  • Supervise and work on a 2-3 person crew
  • Also may be required to work with other mowing/ maintenance crews or other departments' crews
  • Work with a diverse cultural background
  • Motivate as well as teach other crew members
  • Independently problem solve while on the job site
  • Communicate with customers as well as Management and Sales Staff
  • Follow instructions from Manager and complete work given in both a timely and efficient manner
  • Responsible for monitoring problems and maintenance related issues with all equipment checked out to their crew (truck, trailer, mowers, equipment, etc.)

Applicant Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must show 2 forms of valid identification
  • Must bring in a DOT certified copy of driving record
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Cannot have an OWI or Drug Charges within the last 5 years

Benefits & Schedule

  • Full Time 45-55 Hours Per Week
  • Monday thru Friday work week (alternating Saturday work)
  • 7:00 AM start time
  • Some late nights (as needed during busy season)
