Lawn Spray Technician

Our company is a locally owned lawn and landscaping company, dedicated to providing the best possible service to our customers in the Greater Des Moines, IA area. Our team at A+ Lawn and Landscape is managed by a highly entrepreneurial and progressive leadership team that is fueled by a level of passion that is uncommon in our industry.

We are seeking a Lawn Spray Technician to join our growing team. The person in this position will be responsible for making timely lawn applications and diagnosing and correcting lawn problems.

Our office is located in Des Moines, Iowa. All applicants for our Lawn Spray Technician position MUST live in Des Moines, or in a nearby area like West Des Moines, Pleasant Hill, Urbandale, Johnston, Clive, or Ankeny.

Type of Work

  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions
  • Drive a company vehicle to the job location
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer requests for telephone and in-person service calls
  • Complete required production forms and customer instructions
  • Assist in sales to current customers through contact on route and telemarketing
  • Complete production reports, new sales forms, and customer invoice forms
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the facility

Applicant Requirements

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time under adverse climatic conditions
  • Must have reliable transportation to our office in Des Moines, IA
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record
  • High school diploma or GED, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training
